What is GSR 751(E)? +
GSR 751(E) is the Government of India gazette notification that prescribes the height restrictions for structures near airports and the mandatory requirement to obtain NOC from AAI before commencing construction of any structure that may exceed the permissible height limits.
Up to what distance from an airport is a NOC required? +
The distance varies depending on the type of airport and the nature of the structure. Typically, NOC requirements apply to structures within 20 km of an airport reference point, but the specific limits are defined by the airport's obstacle limitation surfaces and applicable regulations.
Who issues the height clearance NOC for civil airports? +
For civil airports managed by AAI, the respective Regional Headquarters of AAI issues the height clearance NOC. For defence airports, the relevant defence authority issues the clearance.
What is the validity of a NOC? +
NOCs issued by AAI are generally valid for 2 years from the date of issue. If construction is not completed within this period, the NOC must be revalidated before the expiry date.
What are WGS-84 coordinates and how do I get them? +
